Tannheimer Valley – Tannheim
Some say that the Tannheimer Tal is the most beautiful high valley in Europe. It extends in the northern foothills of the Allgäu Alps, at an altitude of 1080 to 1638 meters. Striking rocks, lush meadows and clear lakes characterize the image of this valley and above all this the wide sky that stretches over the valley and its inhabitants.
The mountain slopes in the Tannheimer Tal rise gently here at the edge of the Alps, making way for a wide valley floor at around 1,100 meters. In this high-altitude area you will find the vacation villages of Nässelwängle-Haller, Grän-Haldensee, Zöbeln, Schattwald and the eponymous village of Tannheim.
Neuschwanstein Castle is also only 30 minutes away by car.
The valley offers in winter as well as in summer numerous activities including 140 kilometers of cross-country ski trails, 6 ski areas with over 500 kilometers of slopes, cycling circuits up to 220 km and countless hiking routes. Something for everyone!
The Tannheimerin is located in the beautiful Tyrolean resort of Tannheim, in close proximity to the valley station of the Neunerköpfle lift.
